Three Services, One Standard of Care
Each service at Horova is approached with the same methodology — careful, documented and done by hand with proper tools.
Back to Home— Our Method
How Every Job Begins
Whatever brings a watch to the bench — a movement that has slowed, a strap that needs changing or an annual collection check — the process starts the same way. We look at the piece under magnification, note what we find in writing, and confirm the scope with you before work begins.
Parts are sourced from established suppliers and fitted using correctly sized tools. Nothing is forced. The completed job is measured or checked, documented and returned to you with a written record of what was done.
Mechanical Movement Service
A full strip-down, cleaning, lubrication and reassembly of a mechanical caliber, followed by timing checks on a calibrating bench. Suited to owners who want a long-serving piece kept running smoothly. The work addresses the wear that accumulates in a movement over years of use — dried lubricants, minor debris and contact surfaces that have begun to show the effects of time.
- Full caliber disassembly and individual part inspection
- Ultrasonic cleaning of all mechanical components
- Precision lubrication with appropriate-grade oils
- Reassembly, beat adjustment and regulation
- Timing machine measurement across positions with written report
Process Steps
- 01. Pre-service assessment and written condition note
- 02. Movement removed, disassembled under magnification
- 03. Parts cleaned in ultrasonic unit and rinsed
- 04. Reassembly with correct lubricants applied at each point
- 05. Timing bench measurement, adjustment, final record issued
Strap & Bracelet Fitting
Sizing, link adjustment and fitting of leather, rubber or metal straps, with spring-bar replacement where needed. A short visit that improves comfort and daily wear. The difference a well-fitted strap makes to how a watch sits and reads can be significant, and this service is one of the quickest ways to change how a watch feels on the wrist.
- Lug width measurement and strap compatibility check
- Link removal or sizing for metal bracelets
- Spring-bar replacement as standard
- Leather, rubber and steel options available in workshop
Process Steps
- 01. Lug width measured, existing strap examined
- 02. Old spring bars removed and discarded
- 03. New spring bars fitted, new strap installed
- 04. Sizing checked against wrist or requested length
Collection Care Plan
A scheduled rotation that keeps several watches wound, checked and lightly serviced across the year. Designed for owners of small collections who prefer steady, planned upkeep. The plan replaces the common pattern of doing nothing until something breaks — which invariably costs more than the upkeep it deferred.
- Annual schedule set at the start of the plan period
- Winding, rate checks and light servicing at each visit
- Written condition notes after every appointment
- Priority scheduling for plan holders
- Covers two to six watches per plan period
Process Steps
- 01. Initial consultation — watches listed, schedule drafted
- 02. Baseline condition assessment of each piece
- 03. Scheduled visits throughout the year as agreed
- 04. Condition notes updated and provided after each visit
- 05. End-of-year summary and plan renewal discussion
